A young, mixed-race Canadian named Andy, struggling with his cultural identity and passion for woodworking, forms an unexpected bond with Mr. Lu, an elderly Chinese immigrant with a mysterious past, who teaches him the art of traditional Chinese wood carving, leading Andy on a journey of self-discovery and connection to his heritage.
